Supervised Agricultural Experience or SAE
Students are encouraged to participate in career readiness and work-related experiences as part of being an FFA member. There are countless opportunities for students to engage in various work preparedness environments, with the most common being raising animals at Clements. Please visit with Mrs. Vandivort and Mrs. Jahn regarding interest in raising animals based on the information below.
To explore more SAE opportunities not related to raising animals, visit https://saeforall.org/ and learn all about how being an FFA member can provide pathways to narrow down and explore passions and turn hobbies into life long dreams. This website HERE is wonderful to explore the various areas of interest and examples of SAE that can be completed.
There are many types of SAE's that can be explored, such as working at a bakery or clothing store, helping the FFA advisors organize at the barn, creating a website for the student FFA chapter, and so much more.
Click HERE for a list complied by other FFA chapters, but the ideas are your students to run with and create their own!
To start an SAE and log all progress as a current FFA member, visit https://www.theaet.com/page.aspx?ID=254 and begin now (Contact Advisors for individual log in credentials)! For the complete guide and resources for an SAE, with examples and stories from past members, click HERE for the pdf.

Raising a Guide DogWe also have an opportunity for students to raise a Guide Dog through the Southeastern Guide Dog program where they would raise a puppy for a year in order for the dog to have the opportunity to become a service animal for a visually impaired person, a veteran in need of a service animal or for another service.
